Conqueror

Conqueror is an old Trench sort of peach introduced in Georgia a long time ago. Presently it is met in the Kutaissi, Sukhumi and Gudauti districts. Ripens in the environment of Georgia earlier than Amsden and all the other common early sorts of peaches: So in Western Georgia in the first half of June, and in Eastern Georgia at the end of June.
Unattractive appearance of the fruit, ununiform ripening of its two halves and protracted ripening of the fruits on the tree deprive this sort of its chances for further spreading in the districts of Georgia, the more so because of the existence of other early sorts with better fruits.
