Elton’s Bigarreau sweet cherry was introduced in Georgia long ago, but has gained no commercial importance, being met only in single trees. Among its merits we can mention early ripening and good quality of fruits, whilst among its defect susceptibility to Monilia.
This sort merits attention as suitable for the widest distribution.
