დაბადების ადგილი: ქ. ოზურგეთი.

დაამთავრა თბილისის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის სამკურნალო ფაკულტეტი 1923 წელს.

1939–1940წწ. სსრკ–ფინეთის ომის დროს მუშაობდა სამხედრო–საველე ჰოსპიტალში ქირურგად; 1941–1943წწ. იყო თბილისის სახელმწიფო სამედიცინო ინსტიტუტის საფაკულტეტო ქირურგიის კათედრის პროფესორი; 1943–1974სს. ამავე კათედრის გამგე, 1974 წლიდან მეცნიერ–კონსულტანტი. მედიცინის მეცნიერებათა დოქტორი (1935), პროფესორი (1941). მიღებული აქვს სახელმწიფო ჯილდოები.
