დაიბადა სოფელ კამარლოში (დმანისის რაიონი). 1963 წელს დაამთავრა თბილისის სახელმწიფო სამედიცინო ინსტიტუტის სამკურნალო ფაკულტეტი. 1963-1967 წლებში მუშაობდა ბოლნისის რაისაავადმყოფოში - ოფთალმოლოგად; 1967-1969 წლებში იყო - ქ. თბილისის № 2 მედ. სან. ნაწილში ოფთალმოლოგი, 1969-1973 წლებში - ტარსაიძის სახელობის თვალის სნეულებათა რესპუბლიკური კლინიკური ორდინატურა; 1973 წლიდან მუშაობდა რესპუბლიკურ ოფთალმოლოგიურ ცენტრში ექიმ-ოფთალმოლოგად.
