Eastern Black Sea Area in the System of Byzantine World (VI c. A.D.)

Eastern Black Sea area had become a part of the Byzantine world in the late 4th century A.D. This process with certain extent was reflected in the military, polotical, economical and cultural life of the eastern Black Sea, particularly in the 6th century A.D. On the other hand, the Black Sea territory of Georgia played an important role in geostrategic and geopolitical area of the Byzantine Empire.
