Eastern Black Sea Area in the System of Byzantine World (VI c. A.D.)

Eastern Black Sea area had become a part of the Byzantine world in the late 4^th century A.D. This process with certain extent was reflected in the military, polotical, economical and cultural life of the eastern Black Sea, particularly in the 6^th century A.D. On the other hand, the Black Sea territory of Georgia played an important role in geostrategic and geopolitical area of the Byzantine Empire.
