The newspaper "Iujnaia Ossetia" bearing the radical position takes the first steps towards the Georgian press. Though it tries to defend its own principles, the views expressed there can be considered progressive in regard to the relations between Georgian and Ossetian people.

In this regard Egnate Kusraev's article "One swallow cannot bring spring" published in newspaper "Iujnaia Ossetia" (16 February, 1993) about the different opinions can be considered interesting. The article "We must defeat war" ("Droni", 27 November, 1992) by T. Koridze, a Georgian journalist republished in the Ossetian newspaper "Khusar Iriston" (17 Desember, 1992), caused a difference of opinions first over the Georgian and then the Ossetian press. There the author tried to break the ice of confrontation.

Since 1993 the desire of closing – in the Georgian-Ossetian newspapers has been increasing. In search for the ways of ceasing bloodshed and finding mutual interests, there comes a moment of desire of mutual understanding. This process is becoming more and more actual, which is welcomed by the Georgian side.
