The "Gantiadi" a monthly theological, philosophical, political and literary magazine waz first issued in Kutaisi on 1913. Studying this publication gives the clear idea of the national-christian importance of the magazine. The materials published in the magazine concerned national problems, showed extreme aspiration to autokephalous church and critical position fixated against the government.

The "Gantiadi" elucidated the question of self-determination of Georgia which had been subordinated and annexed. The position of the editorial board was the following: whether the annexation was upon the condition or with the help of arms, this process shouldn't have concerned Georgian church. Edition of the "Gantiadi" was soon stopped. The magazine reestablished in 1915 was quite different. It was no longer theological, but a literary edition.
