Some Cult Custums of the Javakheti Dukhobors

The Dukhobor sect, thet emerged among others in the 18th-19th c.c. in the Russian Empire, is one of the prominent sects.

At the very beginning of the origin of the sect, instead of neglected traditional orthodox cult, a new ritual system regulating social and femily everyday events, characterestic only for the Dukhobors' ethnoconfession group hed been created, that became a necessary norm for each member of the Dukhobors' sect.

The work analyses some custums common for the Dukhobor's faith – characteristic features of the sect praying meetings, "mutual worship" ritual, the custom of choral performance of sacral songs etc.
